Assassin’s Creed in Perfect Harmony
Monday, November 7th, 2011
Well lookie here, NECA went and put out two new Assassin’s Creed Ezio figures and named them in quite the clever way (unless they are named this way in the game, the it’s kudos to Ubisoft). See, they’ve already but out an Ezio in a black and a white oufit, but just to shake things up they put out the ebony and ivory outfits! Ebony and ivory is also black and white, but they are different then the previous releases, plus it gives me an excuse to post this:
I’m so sorry.

Let’s Go Star Trekkin’!
Monday, September 26th, 2011
Sometimes I see something that reminds me of something and then I start seeing that something everywhere! You know what that “something” is for me right now? Star Trek! I know, I should be knee-deep in Star Wars right now, what with the release of the Blu-Rays, but no! Suddenly, there’s Star Trek everywhere!
Firstly, let me introduce you to the first “something” that reminded me of Star Trek. It’s a video game called Artemis: Spaceship Bridge Simulator. While it isn’t a Star Trek game officially, it’s totally a Star Trek game, simulating the goings-on of a space vessels bridge. You have is six different positions (Helm, Weapons, Science, Engineering, Comms, and Captain) and therefore space for up to 6 different people, each with their own computer, each controlling their own station. The Captain doesn’t control anything, but he oversees everything and makes the decisions. It’s extremely nerdy but it’s also extremely fun! If you’ve ever watched Star Trek and thought it was awesome, this is the game for you. It’s independent too so we should all support it!
Secondly, we got a brand new Star Trek board game called Star Trek: Fleet Captains. It’s enormous! It’s also made by WizKids, so you know it’s filled with miniatures. This game is all about exploring space, building up your resources, and taking out your enemy. The enemy in this game just happens to be the person your playing with. Head-to-head space battles! This game isn’t to be confused with Star Trek: Expeditions, which also looks pretty cool, but I’m not sure if it’s as cool.
And thirdly, I just heard that there’s going to be a new Star Trek video game. It’s called “Star Trek” (how imaginative!) and will be set in the universe of the new films. It’s supposed to come out next year. It looks like an adventure game and it also looks totally rad. I’m psyched to try it out and/or buy it. Check out this interview for my info!

Hey guys! After numerous requests from people to get this going again, we have decided to do a few game nights this fall. So for all of you who are interested, here is the 2011 game night schedule.
2011 Game Night #1 – Tuesday, October 4th 2011
2011 Game Night #2 – Tuesday, October 18th 2011
2011 Game Night #3 – Tuesday, November 1st 2011
2011 Game Night #4 – Tuesday, November 15th 2011
2011 Game Night #5 – Tuesday, November 29th 2011
Time: 6:30pm – 10:30pm (Extended Store Hours)
Games: We bring a different selection of games every night and also encourage attendees to bring in some of their games that they would like to get played. The is always a wide variety of options.
Food / Drink: We have cold cans of pop and water bottles available for purchase as well as a large selection of assorted candy/gum for those who don’t want to bring their own snacks.
Bring Friends! Please invite friends and tell others about these events. We always love to see new faces and want to develop the size of the gaming community in Ottawa.
One final note: While we want as many people to play the games they want to play as possible, it does mean we may not have either enough interest or players to play certain games. If you come with the intention of playing a specific game, please do not be discouraged if we do not play it this time. We want everyone to have an open mind about trying new games they haven’t played before.
Hope to see you all There!
Also a special thank you to those of you who show up regularly and help others to play games!
ThunderCats Pajamas
Saturday, September 10th, 2011
ThunderCats is one of those “classic” 80s cartoons. So they brought it back. I don’t know if it’s coming to Canada yet, be we have the action figures! Lion-O, Cheetara and the rest of the cast and crew are all here! They’re all of that 3 3/4″ size that seems to be so hip with the kids these days. Except for that big 12 inch Lion-O by Bandai. It’s pretty cool.
