Hello everyone, it’s April 22. Earth Day! Now I am not entirely sure what goes on on this holiday or what color t-shirt I should wear, but we should all sit down for a moment and think about how cool our planet it is, and maybe just for one fine April afternoon, do something to help your mother nature, or even just go out and enjoy it.

For me its a different story, after I finish writing this I will be heading to see Lucifer, or as you may know him…. the Dentist!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!!! I’m sure I will be in all of your prayers this afternoon. This is going to be more painful than being forced to sit down for 2 hours and watch Hillary Duff‘s Cinderella Story until the end.

On a moreso positive note, my favourite hockey player, AHL Superstar Denis Hamel won the Yanick Dupré Award as the AHL’s MAN OF THE YEAR!!! Now that is just sweet! According to www.BinghamtonSenators.com, the award is presented annually to an AHL player for his outstanding contributions to his local community and charitable organizations. For me, a huge Denis Hamel fan, this is a momentus occasion, knowing that my favourite dude on the ice also happens to be an amazing good-willed not-so-clean-cut but very friendly citizen off the ice. Congrats to you Hamel! Everyone(Dave) who said I was crazy for cheering this man on can go suck a lemon. In the mean time I will be oggling, and perhaps buying the two sweet Hamel jerseys that are on Ebay this week. You can never have enough Hamel Jersey’s, thats what I always say. Ame-Comi Series 2!!! More good news for everybody, series 2 of the DC Ame-Comi Heroine line is in stock! Powergirl and Supergirl, with HUGE Boots, hot! Also we have the prototype images for series 3 of this series aswell and they are up for pre-order. Check it all out here. Dont miss this one!

Military Series 7!!! Thats right baby! It has finally arrived, check out these bad boys right away! These military figures are getting more detailed with every new series. I can’t wait until the next two series come out, supposedly they are going to be WWII themed. All you history buffs out there get ready and keep an eye on our military section. MLB Series 21 is in store and available online aswell. The series stars Alfonso Soriano 3 and his variant, Daisuke Matsuzaka with a special World Series logo on his cap, Joe Mauer, Jorge Posada 2, Michael Young, and Nomar Garciaparra 4. Check them out here. Quantities on these hot figures are very limited at the moment, so get them quick before they sell out like every other baseball figure that has come through this place.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Figures! Yes, our prayers have finally been answered. Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and the notorious Raphael have joined us here at Toys on Fire, styled just like the origional comic book series you all know and love. These figures came in just a couple days ago, and are almost all gone. We are trying to get more at the moment, but these figures are way hotter than anyone could have ever imagined. They fly off the shelves faster than milk and hotcakes combined. Good job to you Neca! (Also we are trying to get more hotcakes)

Spawn Series 33, or as the Romans say, Spawn XXXIII.This series is much cooler than the last couple that McFarlane has put out lately. It features a nice Egyptian theme, complete with Spawn the Immortal, monsters for him to slay, and sexy Egyptian ladies. Check it out here. Hey Internet peoples!

I am not sure how to follow Denis Hamel, scoring his, I guess ONLY, NHL goal, Ha…Kidding, he had 2…

But, Grayson is right, our Hockey Card Trading Day is coming fast and I hope everyone has their traders ready, It should prove to be a great time for all. I will be there of course, and if asked, I can give out signed 8×10 photos of myself, I know how I am your favorite Toys On Fire employee, so, that’s the least I can do…Yeah…

Bakugan is still the hottest thing since sliced bread here, we sell more of that stuff than we can count. It’s crazy. I hope it is an awesome game for all you kiddies out their who’s parents are shelling out the money for it. I hope you all thanked them!

So..We also have new Ottawa Senators stuff in the store, including T-shirts and Ball caps for children. I know, were not a clothing store, but it is cool to have. Not sure how many people want the Sens stuff now, but that is another rant for another day.

Yesterday, April 2nd, we received the newest WEBKINZ toys, the chicken, lizard, American cocker spaniel, and the little mouse! They are $18.95 each, with the exception of the mouse, which is a Lil’ Kinz, and is priced at $14.95. I know they won’t stay on the shelves long, so rush over to get them!

For all you Hannah Montana fans, we received a 6 inch stand up figure of her, it’s pretty neat, we only have 2, so get them while you can before Grayson buys them both…He loves her.

How long has it been since I last wrote? Never mind that, the reason I writing is because it is almost a month since our last hockey card trading day and I can hardly believe it is coming again so soon. Hockey card trading day just happens to be my favourite non-exclusive, all inclusive holiday of the year, and since it comes so often each year, I am a very happy little boy.

What is waiting for you at this next hockey card trading day? Well lots of course! You can show off your cards, make new friends who also love hockey and trade away some of the cards you don’t need for ones that you do need. We will even check out your coolest cards and tell you how much they are worth in the current market as well. Who knows I might even bring some sort of hockey movie to put on the TV.

This hockey card trading day will be coming a couple weeks from now, on Saturday, April 19th from 2 PM to 4 PM. I just cannot wait, and I hope to see you all there! Well in the meantime we can all watch former Ottawa Senator Denis Hamel score a goal. We probably should have kept this guy.
