Game Summit 2012

Monday, December 5th, 2011
February 17, 2012toFebruary 19, 2012

The next Game Summit will be here before you know it! Coming up on February 17 -- 19 at the Nepean Sportsplex which right down the street from us! If you’re unlucky enough not to be right down the street from the Nepean Sportsplex and live in London, Toronto, or Kingston, you’re in luck: There’s going to be a Game Summit Shuttle Bus! Another addition is that of space! It got a little cramped last year, so this year they’ve taken over a separate tournament room! By the sounds of it, they’re going to need the extra space.

All the other information can be found on the Game Summit website or in the BoardGameGeek thread.

Mark it off on your calendars, boys and girls. This one’s going to be a doozy.

P.S. Check out this video trailer! (I’m in there briefly!)

P.P.S.

It’s the weekend before Family Day, and if you’re familiar with our shenanigans then that is going to be one absolutely bizarre weekend.

Food / Drink: We have cold cans of pop and water bottles available for purchase as well as a large selection of assorted candy/gum for those who don’t want to bring their own snacks.

CanGames Happening Now

Saturday, May 21st, 2011

If you want to go see Gray at CanGames, now is the time. He’s there right now peddling his wares. Go and say “Hi!” as I’m sure he would appreciate it. After that, you can go play some board games, and then after that you can buy that board game from us. Hurray! The board game section at the store is looking a bit like a toothless grin, so you’ll want to stop by CanGames anyhow if you need a game.

Just go here for the info.

CanGames Will Be Soon!

Thursday, April 21st, 2011
May 20, 2011toMay 22, 2011

Blessed are we, the board gamers of Ottawa, for we have two wonderful conventions that we can attend in our fine city! The next one on the ol’ ‘genda is CanGames – Ottawa’s oldest board game convention. CanGames is always a good time and it seems to attract the majority of the really hardcore gamers in the city. Not that that means the not-so hardcore can’t come and participate – quite the contrary – there’s always something cool going on. Whenever I go to CanGames, I never venture too deep into the game room, instead I focus on digging through the dealer’s room to find awesome deals and rare wares (and hope that these things are one in the same.)
