Mayday, Mayday, Beyblade Mayday!Sunday, May 1st, 2011It’s May Day, and we just had our Mayday Tournament here at the store, the last tournament before the Tournament of Champions! Congratulations to Lucas, Elias, Blair, and Andrew, our winners, and a special congratulations to Blair, our final qualifier for the Tournament of Champions! If you want to play against all our Champions (the first and second place winners of tournaments 1 – 12), there are still spots open, so call, Email, or stop in for more details! All New Takara Beyblades just in time for Tournament 12!Tuesday, April 26th, 2011Well it is now five days to our next tournament, and we just got in plenty of new items, including the perfect secret weapon — Gravity Perseus!!! Never heard of it? Well there’s a lot to it for the serious Beyblader, but if you don’t know much about the details and don’t want to get lost in translation, just skip ahead to the next paragraph, that’ll tell you what you need to know! Now Beybladers, imagine a defense type with the widest performance tip yet to allow for plenty of wobble room without sacrificing longevity, as long as you rip it as hard as your opponent does, of course. Now add to that a well balanced armored spin track with surprisingly high stamina. Then top it off with an exclusive Fusion Wheel and Energy Ring that work together not only to provide high defense, but to create two modes: a defense mode that makes the opponent have a hard time making contact, and a counter mode that smashes your opponent while it tries to smash you! “Yeah, that’s good, but I can beat it”, you say? Better watch yourself, because this is the one and only Beyblade that launches to the left AND to the right! Your opponent won’t know what to expect — Left or Right, Attack or Defense? Keep ‘em on their toes! So what does this really say about Gravity Perseus? It’s AWESOME. End of sentence. But that’s not the only thing we got in, oh no. We also restocked Galaxy Pegasus and the digital power launcher, both popular choices among Beybladers, and we got something in that we’ve never had before: Galaxy Cancer, Burn Scorpio, Flame Gemios, Galaxy Sagittario, Killer Scorpio, Flame Cancer, Burn Sagittario, and the exclusive Killer Beafowl — but we only got five of them, and we don’t know which five! Confused? it’s simple, these Beyblades come in random booster packs, so you never know what you’ll get, but these all look like pretty good Beys with great parts for customization, so give ‘em a shot! Beyblade tournament 3 & 4 photos!Thursday, February 3rd, 2011Well our camera just came back from its’ trip to Cuba, so as promised, here are the photos we forgot to post form tournament 3 & 4: Again, we apologize for the delay, and thank you for your patience and understanding. –Jay Beyblade tournament 6: Halfway to the championships!!!Sunday, January 30th, 2011Well now, our sixth Beyblade tournament just wrapped up and it was a blast! (No really, someone’s beyblade blew up, it was really cool to see!) I’d like to congratulate our prize winners, and thank everyone for coming and having fun with us today! Now in the spirit of fun, We’re always trying to make our tournaments and events even better, so that each event is better than the last! If any of you guys have any ideas about what would make for better beyblading at Toys on Fire, Let us know!!! You can come and talk to us (or even email us right now!) and we will consider every suggestion. For now, though, in the coming events you can really get in the groove with cool battle music while you Rip, and coming soon we will have exhibitions for beyblade tricks! I’ve seen some cool tricks from some of our more experienced participants, from scooping up a beyblade and keeping it spinning in the palm of a hand, to hopping a beyblade from arena to arena, and I’m sure there are more tricks you guys can do, so we will be announcing a demo section in one of the next few tournaments where we will be filming these tricks you guys can do, and putting them online on our site for all to see! | ![]() |
