It’s a neat little expansion for Ticket to Ride Europe but the Warehouses and Depots can be used in any Ticket To Ride. I’ve got exciting news for history buffs and Lego enthusiasts! The Canada Science and Technology Museum have setup a new exhibit called Wheels, Wings and Waves – A LEGO® History of Transportation. It’s an exhibit about the different methods of transportation we have made over the ages, with a twist… it’s all done in Lego! They’ve got a bunch of crazy Lego models there, including an F1 car, model of the Titanic, and even a space shuttle!

So if you get a chance, check out the Canada Science and Technology Museum!

Boy howdy, all of us at Toys on Fire sure are *cough* excited that Twilight New Moon is coming out, and so is NECA apparently.  This time, they decided to release a whole set of figures a good 2 months before the movie is slated to hit theatres (as opposed to last time where I think we saw the figures a whole month AFTER the movie came out.)   This set features Edward (or as I like to call ‘im “Ol’ Eddy,”) Alice (”Ol’ Ali,”) Jacob (”Ol’ Jakey,”) and Bella (”Ol’ Girl-Face,”)  Anywho, we have them all right now, even the ones from the old movie!  So please, if you like Twilight at all, come buy these.  I’m so tired of sexy vampires who sparkle… so very tired…

The Great Board Game Clearance at Toys on Fire

Just a little info for those who aren’t in the know, Toys on Fire is a small-ish toys/board game shop in the South-West end of Ottawa (Barrhaven.) We pride ourselves on having one of the cleanest board game sections in Ottawa, and are also proud of our 700+ selection of games.

However, in our quest to have over 700 games, we have become somewhat overstocked and we are having trouble fitting all the new games into ever-growing aisle. So in order to continue stocking all the new games and fitting them in the aisle, we have created an entire end-cap of games on sale!

So the deal works like this, if you see a green coloured price tag on a game, it means the game is 15% off. But, if you’re a Toys on Fire newsletter subscriber then you’ll get 25% off instead. If you decide to get crazy with the Cheez Whiz and buy over $200 worth of games before discounts, then we’ll give you an additional 5% off.

I know this partially sounds like a scheme to get you to sign up to our newsletter, and it is, but I really do put a lot of board game information in there, and we have all sorts of great sales going on all the time for our newsletter costumers.

Okay, so the first announcement (and we apologize immensely for the lateness),  players in the beginners division will not be using any ability cards! You’ll still need 3 metal gate cards (one of each different colour) and 3 Bakugan, and a trap if you want to bring one, but beginners will not be using ability cards. Some of you alreayd knew this from the Bakugan training days, but apologies for those of you who didn’t know this before hand.

So I guess most of you partcipating in the tournament want to know what you’re going to be playing for. So without further ado, the prizes:

1st place (in division): $15 Gift Certificate

2nd place (in division): $10 Gift Certificate

3rd place (in division): $5 Gift Certificate

Keep in mind guys that these prizes are for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each division!

We also might have some extra prizes care of Sony Pictures and Game Summit! SEE YOU ALL THERE!
